CPPBPA5007 Assess statutory planning applications for compliance with bushfire requirements

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to apply jurisdictional bushfire regulatory requirements to assess development and subdivision applications. The outcome of an assessment will typically be included as a report with the statutory planning application.

The unit applies to individuals who are paraprofessional workers and have technical and theoretical knowledge of bushfire impact on property developments. They demonstrate autonomy, judgement and responsibility in a range of contexts within broad but established parameters. They possess communication and analytical skills to determine and transmit solutions to complex problems.
