This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to mix and apply clear over base (COB) multi-layer and pearl refinishing materials to vehicle body components. This unit involves preparing for the task, selecting and using specialist tools and equipment, identifying paint defects, preparing vehicle surfaces, selecting, mixing and applying refinishing materials according to manufacturer specifications, and completing workplace processes and documentation.
