ACMAIM301 Use manual techniques to safely move large animals

Application

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to use recognised manual manipulation techniques and a rescue glide to move a recumbent or compromised large animal.

The unit applies to individuals who work as team members to assist in operations moving large animals at incident scenes. They have basic training or experience in animal incident management.

All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety and animal welfare regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
