AVIF0049 Utilise emergency breathing systems
Application
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to utilise emergency breathing systems (EBS) in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and national operating standards. Use of this unit in non-aviation related safety roles is to be in accordance with relevant industry and national regulatory requirements.
It includes preparing an EBS for use, operating and completing post-operational procedures of an EBS.
This unit addresses aviation technical skill requirements (physical, mental and task-management abilities) related to aircraft operational duties of flight crew and contributes to safe and effective performance in complex aviation operational environments.
Operations are conducted across a variety of operational contexts within the Australian aviation industry.
Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements are applicable to this unit.
